Up from where I want to be, as I am struggling with shift work and the chalenges it poses. Still below goal, but this is more than I have gained in a while. Trying to adjust and figure out ways to exercise while working a 4 x12 hour shift. At night. Not bitchin' just trying to figure it out!

So working a 4pm to 4am shift 4x a week has its challenges. I wont even address the family part here, byut I will address what is relevant to diet and exercise and the challenges I face. Im not trying to bitch. Its a great company and great pay. I am seeking suggestion from others who have been here before me. To save space, aia m going to put it in the forums section titled "GRAVEYARD SHIFT WORKER SEEKS SUGGESTIONS" Hope you all can help! Thanks. Mike

Hooooweee!!
New job,managing a second shift, 430 pm to 430 am. Still trying to get into the groove. Have not tracked in a while. Did so today, and I am doing okay. its tough to get my patterns down. Exercise has really suffered as sleep is a challenge on this shift. Its 4 days a week, so I have three off ibn which I am trying to bump up the walking etc. Should be able to figure some pushups and crunchs into the woprk day.
Im not complaining. I am at a great copany with great people, just a challenging schedule. I am maintaining thanks to whaty I have learned here though. I still make good choices food wise for the most part and am still vigilant about my intake. Thats all for now you all ROCK!

1 year since beginning
MAINTAINED MY GOAL, AND THEN SOME!
Hi buddies. I joined this site last February. I tried to keep my program to a lifestyle change of portion / calorie control (less in) and increasing exercise. Its not always easy, but it's
simple,
and as it became routine, it just became a way of life. I reached my goal of 175 lbs months ago, and now reside at around 166 lbs. It seems to be where my body wants to be. I still exercise and watch what I eat, and I feel great. I indulge here and there and I think that this is key. Total deprivation leads to failure in my opinion. This site helped me to modify my behaviors and perceptions. The tools and support are phenomenal. I do not track as rabidly as I once did, because my habits have lead to automatic better choices. If I indulge, I KNOW I am indulging. A treat is a treat, and not the "norm" anymore. I am eternally grateful to my buddies on this site, because over one year from my beginning, I am still here, still healthy and feeling AWESOME!

HEY THERE BUDDIES!
Checking in. Doing the maintenance thing and seeing how I fare when stepping back from logging. Still very conscious of what I eat and maintaining in the 164 to 167 range. Wife says I got too skinny at 162, so I am happy where I am. Still facing challenging life situations, have been for most of 2012, but Im not going to let that derail the success and support I have enjoyed here. peeeeeaaaaceout!!!
