Yesterday’s fast went well. In fact, I have already been up for an hour and a half and I haven’t felt the need to break it yet. My lunch is in the oven, ready for heating through, and I will probably have some All-Bran and double cream between now and then.
Driving went okay, yesterday, and I have suggested that we see how this weekend goes and maybe start back to the dancing the following Friday and Sunday.

Time to dig my “Freedom” and “Yes” tee shirts out for another airing. Nicola fair put the cat among the pigeons, yesterday. I listened to her press conference and say what you like. When she is asked a question she gives a definitive answer. Not like your usual politicians.
This past weekend has been a weekend of dietary debauchery. SWMBO was on holiday, she didn’t need to visit her Mum, so we had red wine on Saturday, Champagne on Sunday, and I had beer Friday and Monday.
On Friday I came across a tub of chocolates in the back of the garage. It was bought at Christmas time, with a view to giving, but somehow Santa missed it! Well, over the weekend we have eaten 1Kg of chocolates between us – or to be more precise – I ate most of 1Kg of chocolates, myself.
Today we are pretty much back to normal. I have started driving again, only short trips, but I was able to take Madge to her work this morning. We just have to get started back to the dancing once again. I think I will defer going back to work for a bit longer. No matter how hard I try, work means a bit of lifting.
So today I intend a fluids only fast. Hopefully I will manage 36 hours, as I certainly need a good detox. Wish me well.

Not unexpected. I have been feeling rather sorry for myself and food has been a comfort. My fasting days never lasted past 5pm.
Having said that, I think the main reason is I am happy where I am, weight-wise. I'd like to lose more but it isn't a pressing necessity. I'll have to order a new suit in a couple of weeks time (for the Renewal celebrations), so the weight I am then will have to be maintained until July!!!

Gaining 1.4 kg a Week

After a day pigging out, yesterday, I am once again onto a fasting day. My wife found “Frisps”, while out shopping on Friday. I haven’t seen them, far less eaten them, for years. Yesterday I had 3 bags!!!
Today I am feeling relatively pain free. I have been able to avoid pain killers so far, so let’s see how the day progresses. Poor Madge is bussing it over to visit her Mum again, so the sooner I am back driving again, the better. It is wet and miserable as well. The bus journey is bad enough, but it requires a change of bus in Edinburgh and a mile walk, each way, each end, to add to her misery.
