16 December 2014
12-16-2014 1:15pm So proud of myself today. Yesterday's weight gain must have been fluid retention. Today I'm down...a new low. Not much but lower than when I started, at least. Rob and I had a good discussion re: our eating out all the time and we will quit that. We behaved yesterday and today thus far. I've had a banana for breakfast with my coffee. Period. No time for food because I was grandchildren's taxi service to school this morning. Now it's lunch time and I ate a 60 calorie Pita with a heaped tbsp of hummus inside. Soon as my boiled eggs get done, I'll have one of them while they're hot. Then it'll be time to go to our tutoring center and put up our Christmas tree for the kids. Then it's taxi time again. No idea what supper will be bu I see salad with it.
So how is everyone? Everyone having a good day too?

12-15-14 Discouraged this morning. Weight up 2 lbs this morning. Doesn't that equal 7000 calories? Doesn't a pound require 3500 calories above what you need to maintain current weight? I seem to remember reading that.
How did everyone else do? Let me hear some success stories here.

Gaining 5.1 kg a Week
14 December 2014
12-14-14 Had a great day out riding around with my hubby. We stopped for lunch and loaded up our plates on veggies first. I had lots of cooked spinach and fresh grape tomatoes and lettuce with just a taste of ranch dressing. The cucumbers were so good, I wish I'd just filled my plate with them. The fish was excellent, and so was the sauteed green beans. I had only a few clams simmered in broth. I was almost too full to eat a few bites of barbq ribs. I got 2 bites each of honeydew and cantaloupe. I really did good. If it wasn't a veggie or fruit, I barely sampled it. Proud of myself.

12-13-2014 Still doing my yoyo thing. 258-259-261.1- And 258.8 today. Obviously my portion control has set my portions too high for my calorie- rich foods. I try to go by what sets off my sugar load. I ate a bowl of shredded wheat with no sweetener and 2% milk and got so sick. My blood sugar was over the moon. Oatmeal does the same thing. Yet I can eat birthday cake and icecream with no problem. Absolutely no sense. My husband ate an apple one evening and his blood sugar hit 600. Part of my problem continues to be the dumping syndrome. That is a miserable feeling. I'll get there.

12-10-2014 And again I weighed in at 259.0. Obviously, I'm not cutting back as well as I thought I was. New plan...I'm going to make cabbage soup with beef broth, garlic and onion, and beans. Shoney's restaurant makes a yummy Bean, beef, and Cabbage soup. I think I can work up a low calorie version of it. Rob likes a breakfast burrito made with egg, cheese, with or without sausage and wrapped in a flour tortilla. I can try a half one and then drink the soup broth when I get hungry between meals. I'll see if that'll work. Anyone got any ideas?
