Happy thought of the day: YAHOO! Weighed myself this morning after forgetting and missing weigh in time the last few days and found that I am exactly the same weight as at the end of last week. No gain/No loss. Im really fine with that considering the parties, drinking and yes... a few desserts and appetizer's that are not diet friendly.

I am positive that one of the reasons I didn't gain in that I continue to fit in my exercise and make good choices as much as possible. I got up early this morning and walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes before breakfast or hubby waking up!! That's the NEW IMPROVED ME! I have planned ahead for parties and diet cheats by eating sensibly that day and by drinking a V8 juice right before leaving the house for dinner out or party foods. By Golly, I think I can win this battle! Im looking forward to the new year and I WILL reach my goal weight in 2009!

Snow and ice is everywhere. It has snowed a little each day and will continue to snow the rest of this week. The daily fresh snow keeps everything looking white and pretty. I love the new HUGE wreath we got for the front door this year. Hubby has been shoveling every day and doesn’t get red faced or hurt anymore ... seems so much easier for him now that he is healthier too.

Hubby and tried out our new waffle maker today that we bought at Costco. Christmas morning everyone will be making their own waffles for breakfast. I will have batter and toppings and all the goodies. There is a perfect measuring cup for the amount of batter to put into the waffle iron. It's so easy to use, like the ones at the hotels that have the make your own waffles... easy to do. It also keeps them out of my kitchen while I am doing stuffing, turkey and other dishes.

all in all I am happy with this holiday season, things are going well. We are in better health this year than we were last year by a long way... and we are going to just keep getting better.

Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays

Happy thought of the day: Recovered from hangover. Got up early to get my exercise as planned, did the treadmill for 40 minutes and then just 20 minutes of a pilates dvd that has 10 minute workouts; did upper body and flexabiltiy today. I really think the only way I am going to fit exercise into my busy holiday days is to get up early and get it done before Breakfast. I might do this all year long, it just seems easier to me now, but that is the NEW me because the OLD me would never get up early to exercise!! Go fishing maybe but not exercise!

I haven't weighed in yet but only because I seem to get busy and forget to weigh in until its too late in the day. I will try to remember to weigh in tomorrow morning.

Went shopping and got ALL shopping done for holidays including groceries. I have a few small gifts to wrap but nothing pressing. Everything is smooth sailing from here on!! All the hard work is done. Cooking is the fun part, not a problem and my kids like to help me in the kitchen. They think cooking with me is fun... probably because of the mimosa's :) we drink while cooking holiday food in the mornings.

I received packages from ImLuuvd and her hubby today. They are so beautifully wrapped with big glittery bows and red berries tied to them... they match my house colors and decor too! I dont even care whats inside them, I might leave them wrapped until new years day when I take down the tree !! hehehe

Happy thought for the day: I am happy with my family and friends and the holidays are fun! Difficult to get through on diet plan but still almost worth any small gains.

I didn't exercise again today and I don't want that to become a habit. Tomorrow I exercise no matter how early or late I need to get it done. I just couldn't face exercise today, I woke up with a hangover. First hangover I have had in over 10 years! My GF that lost her mother has not been handling this first Christmas without her mom very well and she needed a "party"... so last night at our dinner party with them and few other neighbors and mutual friends, I just kept getting us more champagne and lost track. I don't remember anything after the last guest left... hubby said I was funny until I told him I was dizzy and that was it, nitey nite time for me! We met with our friends for Breakfast out this morning and I was really not up for it but being the trooper I am... off we went for breakfast, thank God it wasn't til 9am!

I did discover that if you drink a lot of champagne, you are not hungry for the after dinner dessert. The thought of anything with chocolate or sweets of any kind just didn't appeal to me at all. Still didn't today, with hangover.

Im getting too old for this!! But it was a successful party. We have our youngest daughter and oldest daughter coming for Christmas with their hubby's and doggies (actually one of them is a wolf..not a dog). At our Dinner party everyone here decided they would all come back for a New Years Eve Party. Im not sure how that happened but at breakfast everyone was talking about "MY" New Years Party that they were all coming for. :) Motto: If you drink too much champagne then you will probably make committments you will have to live with.

Happy thought for today: Weight is "holding". Considering the parties we have been to this week, the drinks, the food, the people insisting that you at least take a "taste" of their special dish, etc... I think holding my weight so far this week is a good thing.

I did skip 2 days of exercise, but I think it helped me feel more refreshed and eager to get started again. I think I really need to take one day a week off from exercise...even God rested on the 7th day!

I want to make progress with my weight loss, even though it is the holidays. I know it can be done because I lost weight last holiday season. I try to focus doing as much right as possible, specially between the major meal days. I send leftover's home with guests and try to get extra exercise on those days. Right now I am happy just maintaing this week. Too many parties this week.

Hubby's desk is constatly messy but he thinks its neat. I just had to go unstick his keyboard...he didn't know why his one key kept running down the page filling his screen with """""""""""" (there was a peanut stuck in his keyboard holding the key down. I got it out and fixed his document for him... told him he should NOT eat over his keyboard. Just fixed it 10 minuts ago and now he is eating jerky over his keyboard. I asked him... "what are you eating over your keyboard now"...he tried to say "nothing" and looked innocent.

I am going to be busy this week as I know all you might be too. I will still check in as much as I can.

Information.. I will try to get to the 151 and drop that pesky tenths of pounds hanging on... its not easy this time of year is it!
