A bit disappointed that I only lost 1 pound this week. But I have to stay positive. 1 pound down is better than none and it is definitely better than gaining.

Hubby and I went out for lunch yesterday to a buffet restaurant that is famous for their fried food. I had been good all week so I wasn't to worried; but I didn't gorge myself either. I left the restaurant feeling content not stuffed. However, because of the Metformin I am taking I felt like absolute crap for the rest of the afternoon because of the carbs and sugare I ate; and was unable to eat dinner or exercise. With the Insanity program you get 1 day a week to rest. I noramlly use Sunday as my rest day but seeing as I didn't exercise yesteray I did my work out today. I ate a pretty rich breakfast but I was good the rest of the day. I am nervous but excited to see what my weight has gone to when I check it in the morning. I'm hoping that this past week has paid off with weight loss. Here's hoping to at least 2 pounds down!!! I will let you know in the AM.

Ok, got far off track last week, so much going on it's been crazy. My dr. put me on a new drug that hopefully will help me across the board. I am taking my first dose of Metformin today and it is said to help with weight loss, we'll see. I don't want to get my hopes up because weight loss is very difficult for me, but I want to remain optimistic. I haven't been doing any vigorous (unless you count repeatedly picking up a 24 pound toddler vigorous) exercise but I haven't been sitting on the couch either. Here's to seeing if this works.

I really hate not completing things. I try to stick to a diet and exercise plan but life does not always allow this. I have a husband who works a shift opposite mine and I have a 2 year old to tend to when I get home from work. There are people staying with us right now and the my Insanity workout plan only works on my computer because the program is on a flash drive. It is difficult to find time to exercise with a 2 year old but now I have to work around other people. I am not comfortable exercising around people to begin with so when I do get the time I get comments and jokes from other people and it is so hard to stay motivated and focused. I know some people are going to say that it is better to keep starting over than it is to quit completely; and I agree with this to some point but I just wish I could finish this plan so that I can get the maximum results that go along with it. So, here is to starting over AGAIN and we will just keep our fingers crossed that I can go the full 60 days on this program this time.

Well, the wedding is over and life has resumed. I didn't get to the goal weight I wanted by the wedding, but the day came and went just the same. I stepped off the wagon the past couple of weeks, giving myself some time to relax and spend time with the family without having to worry about calorie counting and exercise (and it shows). Today is the day I resume all of that. Now, I'm not losing weight for the wedding or any special event, I'm just doing it for me. I want to get to a healthy weight so that I am able to have the energy to spend time with my kids and family.
