Ok, not too bad as I broke down and went to the DQ. I have been going at this since January, aside from my mood eating (which I don't know how to control yet) I think I have my eating under control. I just got a FitBit so I am hoping this will encourage me to get the exercise I am needing. I believe that is where I am lacking. If I can figure that out, maybe my mood eating will be solved also. Any suggestions?

i keep a list of things i can do that are productive, distract me, and are somewhat pleasurable (eg, read a magazine, etc) and then when i want to mood eat i at least try to distract or delay the urge for a while. Works more often than not, and when it does, i consider it progress! Those things add up over time and they don't require much effort on my part -

i might have misread your post too, so sorry - as for exercise, if you have any opportunity to get up to do anything, just try to take it. So get up to get the remote each time, get up to pick up your phone to answer it, get up each time you throw somethign in the garbage (or do it in another room), in other words, try to build more constant motion into your day where it's easy

DQ just opened here n in trying NOT to go! Fit bits are a great start. Don't set your pace to everyone else's. They don't account for your personal situation. For example, in my age range the average steps are 6K a day. There was no way when I first started I could do that! with my pain. I was lucky if I could do three to four k a day. I set goals for myself, like 3k and then added more each week. Today I will probably do 8-10K. Work at your pace!
