Just wanted to say to everyone, your stories inspire me daily. Even the ones where we fall, there is hope knowing that we are confiding and getting support and then picking ourselves up and continuing on. It’s so brave of all of us! And then the stories of success, when the results come in! Little successes, big successes. And the stories of that healthy meal we ate. That one action that day where we are telling ourselves that we’re worth it, that we deserve health and feeling good. And then the encouraging comments and the hearts telling each other, “I hear you, I see you.” All the stories have their meaning to me and their way of bringing me hope, inspiration, motivation, and feeling a closer connection with others here on Earth living our lives day to day, with our wonderful, sweet, hopeful and beautiful intentions. Thank you all!!!! Have a great week this week. 💞

I think I’m figuring keto out. Had some trickiness in there for a bit trying to figure out balancing water and electrolytes, so experienced some keto flu. If you are doing keto and have flu symptoms just keep trying to adjust until you find the balance! I’ve been feeling great for a week now. Been listening to my body about how much to eat and am naturally coming in under the average amount of calories from calculating a roughy BMR for my age/height/weight. At first I tried to limit my calories but I didn’t feel great doing that. Now, I’m only eating a tad more per day on average and feel great. Listening to my body has paid off! What I love about keto is that I’m not hungry for hrs and when I eat I can’t overindulge if I tried. It’s too much, I have to stop eating when I feel full (so unlike me in the past). Keto makes IF easy! It’s sooooo lovely.

My first goal is done: 20 lbs down! Since Feb. My look has changed. Feels good.
Next: down 30 lbs, because it is a solid 5 lbs under my last lowest weight of 170 2 yrs ago.
Last goal: around 150 because that was my “winter weight” all throughout my 20’s, but would like to at least maintain below 160 (I’m 5’10”).
After that my goal is to maintain the lower weight for 6 mos. Then 1 yr.
Overall this is about 2.5 year plan and hopefully by then I will be in somewhat of a groove where I will have a better understanding of my body, my metabolism and how much I can eat/how much I can splurge, etc. One reason I gained so much in the first place was because I didn’t understand how my body was changing. I kept eating healthier and cheating less but I was gaining weight because my metabolism was slower than the changes to my diet that I was making. Now I understand I have to revamp my thinking of how much I can eat in the 1st place, get myself to healthy sustainable weight and then find out what it takes to maintain and to make the maintenance sustainable long term. After 2.5 yrs I will keep an eye on my weight and lose weight when I’ve exceeded 5 lbs above my maintenance range. That’s the idea for now at least!
