It's a beautiful Saturday. After enjoying a treat last night (it was divine) I am 100% focused on sticking with this new lifestyle change. I guess I should be proud of myself - being able to enjoy a serving of pumpkin-spiced 'creme brulee' in a wonderful restaurant after a delicious protein-rich meal does not mean I am off the wagon and that I need a glazed doughnut for breakfast, and then a candy bar for a snack, and then a carb-laden lunch filled with pasta... followed by more sugary/floury/carb-y snacks, and so on and so forth. I am proud of the nearly 12 lbs lost in almost a month. They are NEVER coming back on again.
Christmas and a new body awaits me - and it is just around the corner.

Lost another few ounces! Went for a 4.25 mile run yesterday which is the furthest I've run in years. Very proud of myself. I plan to keep up the exercise. I feel so much better mentally. Getting up and moving around feels great. I don't even miss the daily 3 glasses of wine at night.
I would like to limit alcohol to weekends and vacations only for the rest of my life. No need to be drinking all of the extra empty calories!
Although today is Friday, and by day's end (week's end) I imagine I may reward myself for working hard at being focused all week.
