Well the weekend was rubbish... totally rubbish!

My father in law called my husband on Saturday because he was in major pain and couldn't pee so I rushed over and took him to A&E - I thought he could have a bad water infection or kidney stones because of his symptoms so I wasn't hanging about. Much of Saturday was taken up waiting for him to be seen in A&E. Eventually he was seen by the triage nurse who told him to stay to see a doctor. After 3 hours of waiting, he eventually told me to go home and he'd call when he was ready to come home... I wasn't home 2 minutes and he called to say he was being admitted with an inflammed prostrate! Great, just what we needed! So off back to the hospital I went to sit with him and keep him company until he was found a bed on a ward. Another 3 hours later, now plus a rather tired and irratable Stepson, FIL was still not on a ward!

Sunday wasn't much better although it was a lot more productive than sitting in a hospital waiting room or in the CDU. My father has recently moved out (like saturday, while I was at the hospital with FIL!) and I'd decided that I'd get my stepson's bedroom sorted out properly for the first time since we moved in 8 months ago... (my Dad was never supposed to stay as long as he had so most weekends we had Harry in his room and my Dad sleeping on the couch - not ideal!!). We fetched all of Harry's toys from my MIL's house which have accumulated there over the years, chucked the broken ones, bagged up the unwanted baby toys for charity and sorted out the rest so that they could come home with us. Once they were home at ours, I couldn't believe how many toys this child actually has... and do you know what, he actually doesn't play with any other than his matchbox cars! For a child that spends 2 nights a week at our house, he has enough toys to share amoungst the entire neighbourhood! So he's been told, now that we have them all over at our house, he either plays with them or they go to the charity shop for children who don't have many toys! I point blank refuse to have toys in our house that he doesn't play with... there are other children out there who would benefit more from them than for them to be sitting in a cupboard gathering dust! I worked on that room for 5 hours solid and I think I've finally cracked it! We just have to buy a new set of blinds, some WWE curtains and a duvet cover and I've said we'll get some WWE posters which I plan on framing in bright frames for the walls! Then I think I'll finally stop!

Ooooooookay so I've been away from here a while and I've got to say that I've certainly not been very good watching my weight or what I've been putting into my mouth! I only put on a few lbs but still, that is enough to push me back to journalling and blogging each day!

I had a few remarks at work over the last weeks which made me realise that perhaps now not only me was noticing the weight slowly piling on but that other were as well. The one girl even enquired if I were pregant and for a few days I kept thinking to myself... hmmmm could I be? But I wasn't unfortunatly, the 3 negitive tests put that thought to rest and after a few more days of being gloomy, moody and darn right horrible, I decided enough was enough - off you go again weight!

For all the girls who've stuck it out while I've been away, congrats to you... I'll catch up with you in a bit on your journals... for those of you who've just joined... well done on taking this step!

For me... it's time to get myself back on track!

Hi ladies and gents...

Still the same weight! GGGRRRRRRR

I've not been on in the past 7 days because I've been so busy with the new job! It's taking up all of my time and practically all of my energy! I get up at 5 to make sure I fit in my morning workout and breakfast because I know that by the time I get home, I'm too shattered to even think, let alone do a workout! I've not been eating all that well this week mainly because I'm just too busy during the day to be able to go off for a few minutes to have lunch! I've spoken to my boss about this and we've agree'd that from Monday, both her and I will have 1/2 and hour at 1pm to have our lunch... she's like me, she can never find the time to have a bite to eat! Thankfully though, both my dad and Tony are thinking (for a change!) and preparing dinner so that when I get in all I have to do is cook it for us! This does mean thought that we eat at about 9pm which is not good!

Well the new job is going really well and I love it! I am still amazed that I'm working in a Government office and dealing directly with the Olympics for 2012! Such an overwhelming feeling! If you've ever heard of a very famous historical area of London called Trafalgar Square, well, that is where my offices are! I'm slap bang in the centre of London! I really thank all of you for pushing me to go to the interview!

To my YELLOWS... I'm so sorry I've not been participating in the challenge recently but please know I'm 100% behind each and every one of you!

Well I definatly think that my body is at it's ideal weight and just does not want me to loose any more! I seem to stall every time I reach 72/73 and I can stay there for months even with all the additional workouts and increasing my daily calorie count!

My new job is fantastic! I can already forsee that I'm going to become a very pressurised young lady in the next few weeks! This job is not a usual day to day type job, infact, it's nothing that I could ever imagine happening to me! Well, I'll tell you a little about what I'm doing but I can't say much due to the nature of the work... I am the PA to the Director of Staging for the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. This department is the lead Government department involved in arranging the 2012 Olympics held here in London! Basically I do all the support work for the Director and ensure that her life is running as smoothly as it possibly could be as well as ensuring that all her work that she gives me is done to the highest of professionalism! She's a lovely lady and very highly respected in her role. And all of this is all slightly overwhelming for me!

Well done to all my buddies and my team mates for their losses this week! Good luck for the next week!
