Always the heavy snacking, greasy food, sodium-induced gorge before that period, huh? That would explain why I ate the way I did. But like people here on FS have said (and being super supportive, thank you all!) it's just one day at a time. Had some homemade pho for lunch with the chicken broth from cooking a chicken in the Instapot a few days before. Nothing like saving that broth for when I will need it down the road. Now I'm full, feeling bloated actually, and wondering if it's just the period or the bowl of pho?

Snacks were the Pringles and a homemade sugar cookie.

Either way, the only exercise I did today was my weight lifting (hand weights). I'm ready to move on to 10 lbs weights since I can do the 5 exercise routines (3 reps x 15) without needing to take a break. I would love to start doing leg weights, but will wait awhile until the community gym is open and COVID-19 cases have done a dramatic decline. Until then it's a lot of home exercise. Does anyone have any exercise tips or routines to help get rid of abdominal fat/shed an inch off the waistline? Thank you in advance.

Tried to get my spouse to use this website with me to better promote both our health and keep us accountable. They declined to use it. I'll try again at the start of May, hopefully then they will be more keen on using it.

Today was a wee cheat day since I got myself a Starbucks frappe; didn't need it but had a serious hankering for something cool and sweet as it's 24C. I walked briskly for over an hour so I could say "I deserve it". In any case, had that along with miso soup and seaweed for lunch.

Made myself some homemade vegetable soup: 1 liter of low sodium chicken broth, 1 liter of water, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, 4 celery stalks, 2 large yellow onions, half of cup of lentils and half a cup of kidney beans. Incredibly filling as I just had a bowl of it for an early dinner (plus another slice of sourdough), and I'm full. Getting a lot better at listening to my gut telling me to "Woah!" and when to "Nom-go!"; little bit by little bit.
