Back from the business trip. It is very very hard to maintain calorie counting on the road. I think that yesterday's super-huge burrito for lunch did not quite fit in to my low calorie plan...but it sure was delicious..
I walked from the gate to baggage claim instead of taking the train or the moving sidewalk. Logged 2,850+ steps... almost 1 mile of walking.
So the tale of the tape will be an interesting one this week. Did I manage to lose weight while on the road??? We'll find out come Sunday (weigh day). I think I better go on a long walk tomorrow morning to burn off those Burrito calories though... Just to be sure...

I'm on day 3 of a 4 day business trip. I think I'm doing ok so far - although it is impossible to count calories exactly and know for sure. Brought my exercise clothes with me and went to work out at the hotel gym last night and will do so again tonight and tomorrow. I did a good deal of walkin to go to lunch today...approx 5,000 steps. I'm not logging any of my exercising though - since I'm unable to log my calories. I'll begin logging again when I get back home on Friday. Scale should be interesting this week...I am hoping for a break-even week. I'm not adept enough at estimating portion sizes - so I think I'm over-eating a bit. I tried to curb that by going to Publix on Monday to pick up snacks to eat throughoyt the day - that way I keep my main meals very small.

This is one of those weeks I guess - where you do everything right and the weight doesn't come off. I think I feel something resembling muscles in my legs now (probably from the stair climbing)- so perhaps although my weight hasn't changed much - my body composition is beginning to.
I'm on a business trip next week and I am anxious (excited) to see how well I can stick to the plan while I'm on the road and have the obligatory dinners and lunches that I have to attend.
Looking forward to next week's weigh in.

I increased my calorie count to 1450 today because (1) I keep blowing by 1400 calories on a daily basis and (2) I think I will have better luck eating more and exercising more than eatig less and listening to my stomach growl...
Besides, I hate seeing all that red on the diet calendar :-(

Today when I walked in to the office - Russ was dressed from head to toe in bicycling gear...he celebrated earth day by not using his car today so he rode to work (25 min each way).
I found inspiration in that and walked to the mall for lunch...
