I've been awful at entering my food and exercise lately. I'll try to pick back up here. It was a really rough week this week. I lost the last of my great-grandparents last Saturday (found out about it Monday) and then drove Monday to try to reach an uncle who we were having trouble contacting so that he'd know (The family lives on the east coast, in Pennsylvania or Virginia, but this one uncle of mine happened to have moved to Oklahoma ahead of me). Then I got conjunctivitis, and I've just not felt like messing with it. Bleh.

I'm 3 pounds from my mini goal: when I get to 215 I will have lost 10% of the entire body weight I was carrying when I weighed in at the start of this journey on Feb 23.

I'm 18 pounds from my first real goal: when I get to 200, I'm going to go into a maintenance mode, see if I can continue to maintain without gaining for a month or two, and then start coasting back down again. Once I do that, my minigoal and my main goal become the same thing: lose 10% of the weight I'm carrying when I start (10% of 200 is 20) which will put me at 180. Then I'll aim for 160, then for 140, and my last goal will be only 15 pounds... 125. When I get to 125, I can stop.

I expect it'll take me 2-3 more months to get to 200, then 2 months at least to maintain. Start working my way down again, and hopefully I'll hit 180 around the start of 2011. Hopefully I'll be down to 125 before 2012. :D I think that's reasonable. :)

This is awesome. I'm eating until I'm satisfied, making a point to eat more fruits and vegetables, to really be wise about what I eat, and to be more active... and while I was skeptical that it would work, it is. Oh, how it is working. I'm watching the weight fall away.

I've been buying 2x t-shirts so long I can't remember when I started... I was given a large at a luncheon the other day, and when I saw that it fit (snugly, but it FIT!), I stopped buying 2x shirts for myself. I've been buying larges. My bra is being worn on tighter band sizes. My pants require belts to stay up, and I'm so close to wearing pants two sizes smaller than what I've been in that I can almost taste it!

I feel good about what I'm doing. I feel healthier in general. I feel alive. What a blessing health is, and what a joy to see my efforts to reclaim it paying off! I could just dance!

Bought some jeans 2 sizes smaller than what are falling off of me now. Can't wear them comfortably quiet yet, but they JUST close. (My choices in the store were 2 size smaller, 3 sizes smaller, or 2 sizes larger. What?!?) So I know I'm on track, and I have a goal. I also bought a couple of belts that I can actually use to keep my pants on; the one I was using was clearly meant to just look pretty, not actually be functional; it kept rolling up on me. So I now have belts to keep my pants on until I can get into the pants that I'm almost fitting into. And since I'm almost there, I know I can stay in those for a while... while they're snug around the waist, while they're comfy, when they start loosening up, until they get to the point where they're falling off and I can't keep them on without a belt anymore.

And when I get there? No more shopping in women's sizes for me. Because these are 18W. When I get too small to keep these new ones on? They won't make clothes that with W behind them that fit me anymore. :) Talk about motivation!
