I aimed to go to the gym min 4 times a week and have been going 5 times so far. But this week I have only been twice. Meaning I have to go today and a big last chance work out tomorrow for my weigh-in monday morning.

It has been a tough week. I have this silly exam I have to revise for and having a friend over distracting me not only from work but my eating plan has been tough! She offers me cookies and things she knows I shouldn't be eating. She even suggested I eat meat or chicken for her birthday?!!! I didnt obviously! Its just upsetting the lack of support my 'close' friend is giving. Also high lighting everything I'm eating 'ohh thats heathly' or 'whole wheat pitta bread is carbs should you eat that'!(not that she knows anything on diets or heathly eating)!

Sorry for this rant,its just all getting to me and needed to let it out! Saying that, its only one person, other friends have been great and more supportive than I thought. Nest week will be interesting. My exam is the week after next so I have left room for worry eating, by stocking up on 'good food' soups fruit veg etc.

I still hold out hope for my 4lbs loss by monday morning weigh-in, but it hasnt been a good week (not as good as i hoped is more accurate).

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing troubles with weight-loss and friends? How do you deal with it?? Do you tell them to shut up? Or ignor it? (my chosen method at the moment) :)

Hi! If she is a close friend, tell her to shut up lol! Seriously, don't let anybody distract you from your diet or exercise plan. You know you're doing this for yourself, and I'm sure if you explain it clearly to your friend she will understand. Be patient with her but be firm too. Good luck!

Thanks for the support. This is why I joined this site. Its really good hearing that Im not alone on this....and most of all not going nuts! Eating healthy is so rare....I was looked at funny asking for brown rice at a restaurant! But im not discouraged! I weigh-in tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed! Its been a hard week!
