Grilled Cheese with Ham

Grilled cheese with ham that's really yummy. Best to use low carb tortillas.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Spray pan with cooking spray like pam or butter the tortilla (low carb if available) and cut in half.
  2. Place 1/2 the tortilla in the pan and add cheese, Velveeta works best. Add sliced ham (optional) for ham n' cheese.
  3. Cover with other half of tortilla and cook evenly. Serve when done.

This is a terrible recipe for ANY diet! 14.73g of fat, with almost 8g of saturated fat? Really?! You might as well have a cheeseburger or a slice of cheesecake, which actually has less saturated fat than this recipe. You could slim this recipe down alot by using a whole wheat tortilla, low or no fat (cheddar) cheese (NOT Velveeta - the ultimate enemy of any sensible diet!) and definitely use cooking spray instead of butter. I'd throw in some chopped tomato, spinach leaves or other veggies to give it more of a nutritional value.
