okay I'm going to rant. this is not directed at anybody so I don't want anyone taking offense. but to all the people in my life who insisted that I was starving myself and that's why I didn't lose any weight and I needed to eat more calories, I ate 2,000 calories a day and added basically just healthy grains to my diet. mostly quinoa. also some oatmeal. and I have gained another 2.2 lb. I need to go back to eating nothing but greens beans and chicken. that is all I can eat. if I eat anything more than that I gain weight. this is despite riding my bike 80 miles last week and walking another 8 mi. and all I'm eating is about 2,000 calories a day. now that doesn't mean exactly 2000, some days it might be 1900 some days it might be 2100 but it's right in that ballpark. when I load my exercises into fat secret, on paper I'm burning over 4000 calories a day. but it just doesn't make sense. according the fat secret I'm burning almost 3,000 calories a day if I just wake up and sit on the couch and do nothing. and I know that because I lied to Fat Secret and I told them that I'm sedentary even though I'm not. I've even double checked on some other websites to calculate how many calories I need per day. to maintain weight I need to eat 3,000 calories according to them just to maintain that means if I ate 2,000 calories a day and sat on the couch and did nothing I would be in a 1000 calorie a day deficit. I exercise five to seven days a week. because I exercise outside the weather does take a toll sometimes but I would say I average 6 days a week. and I would say I average over those 7 Days about 750 calories of exercise. so I don't understand. I literally feel like I just absorb calories out of the air. but I'm not giving up. I'm aggravated and frustrated right now, but I'm not giving up. we'll see how my body likes 500 calories a day. maybe I'll just go to protein shake and vitamin diet. I don't know. what I do know is that I'm sick and tired of busting my ass and gaining weight while I do it.
