I need a really "kick in the pants" to get things started. Our upcoming 2-week vacation is NOT going to help me, I think!!

Where are you headed for vacation. The beach? A great place to work ok, it enhances your cardio and makes any stability moves you do more difficult. I too love to eat (and drink) on vacation just be conscious of your choices... a ton of fruit instead of carbs, seltzer water and lots of muddled lemons and limes are a great choice over soda. If not the beach maybe you can apply these tips to wherever you are headed. Just because you are on vacation does not mean you need to skip the fitness. A change of scenery might make you enjoy it more.

We went to Disneyland and in spite of all the walking & walking from 7am to midnight, almost NONSTOP!, for 5 days I didn't eat as well as I THOUGHT I did b/c I GAINED 3.5 pounds!! I made sure to cut up 4 apples to take to the park EVERY DAY along with Fiber One bars & such to have healthier snacks. I ate MINIMAL food in the parks & FELT like I ate "ok" but apparently not as well as I thought. :o(
I'm already getting back on track & have already dropped 1 of those gained pounds. I'm participating in an 8-week exercise challenge through my job. Hoping THAT helps too.
Thanks for the encouragement. It's always helpful! :O)
