I have been running using the "couch to 5k" program and doing rather well. It feels great to being exercising on a regular basis again. My husband and I had moved into a ranch back in April. I love our new home but its remote location is not the most convienent for getting to a gym. These back, dirt roads are great terrain for running. The incline varies from road to road and some have deep sand. The interval training used in this program is wonderful, I only hoped I had known about it sooner... I have an old knee injury which in the past has prevented me from running yet I've been doing this program for a week and a half pain-free. It just seems to work. What beats all is that even the hubby joins me! I hope to lose about 10 more pounds. I always looked great at 135lbs. I've cut grain carbs from my evenings. This not only seems to help me lose weight, but helps me sleep more sound. I am anxious for the fall semester to start so that I won't be sitting around quit as much.
