Cut my pb&j calories in half! Actually slightly more, I only used one piece of bread and made sure to use 2 real tablespoons of pb instead of just filling the bread. No jelly. I was hungry a while after, but my green tea is helping and I have some carrots to munch on until work's over. Maybe I should've stuck with a full serving of oatmeal (1/2 cup) in the morning, but it was too much yesterday, and the 1/3 cup wasn't enough today, why???
Experimenting with breakfast has been weird. I've never eaten breakfast within an hour or so of waking; coffee fills me until early lunch. I can't really tell if it's helping my hunger/cravings/potions/etc., but maybe it's too soon to know. I know I'm choosing the right things to eat at least! I kind of like telling myself it's time to eat, even though I'm not hungry; either that will change soon, or maybe it's a sign I shouldn't eat at all. Update to come...
Mini celebration: resisted the TimBits at work!!! YAAAH go me :)

Two things:
1) Holy cow! Peanut butter has a lot of calories! 100 per tablespoon?! I want to cry knowing my pb&j's will never be as good, because I'm going to have to use about half of what I usually do. :( sad day indeed. Maybe I will give up the jelly in order to keep using globs of pb... is that a fair trade?
2) Is it just me, or does FatSecret make it incredibly difficult to do just about anything on here? I just ran around in circles look for where to add a journal entry, only after going crazy trying to reset my RDI. And I've been using this site for a while now. Come on FS, we need a new design!
RIP (extra)pb & j's

I really can't believe how many calories food has, especially anything that's not made at home. What is in there??
My greatest challenge is figuring out how to eat less volume during the day. Binge eating is so much more fun! I also struggle, as a single, broke, college student, to not eat an entire serving of something, because I really don't have the money to spare. Eat the last fourth of a Subway footlong, or throw it away/save it for later (which is always soggy and gross); if given these options, I would rather eat it now than waste my hard earned, minimum wages. I've been working on separating large entrees into smaller tupperware, but it isn't always an easy or doable task, especially with salads or other perishable food (which is basically a requirement of healthy food!)
Does anyone have creative ideas for how to eat smaller servings without wasting any food? Who else struggles with actually enjoying binge eating? Any tips on how to crush my bottomless-pit cravings?

So a lot has happened recently, and it has caused me to not care about being healthy. My boyfriend moved away to the other side of the country, my internship for the summer fell through, and I was busy finishing the semester. Food and booze filled all the voids. It was deliciously sad.
But I'm ready to start over again. I'm not sure how frequently I will use this site, probably mostly for keeping track of weight. I will try to use the food journal again, but it frustrates me how long it takes sometimes to get everything just right or add recipes or finding something already in the database to use instead of the random thing I actually ate. I could force myself to do a workout in the time it takes me to figure out how to add a food item!
Anyway, I will come back to this after this weekend. It's my birthday this weekend, and I will use it as my last hurrah of the summer, as far as unhealthy habits. Bring on the cake!

Superbowl was bad; I ate a brat with mustard, baked beans, ketchup, and french fries piled on that glorious hoagie bun. And BEER! It was amazing, and not I'm happily paying for it. Had a good yoga workout today, as long as I start incorporating that into a regular daily workout I'll be a.o.k!
