I'm taking a minute to journal today. It feels like I've been running like crazy at work today, which is good, I'd rather be busy. It's really hot today, so no outside workout, but I'm going to get a quick workout in after work. I managed an almost 3 mile run/walk yesterday and mostly ran, my speed is slow for most people, but pushes me so I'll take it. :) I'm still leery of push-ups and planks with my hand, so I'm going to stick with lower body and cardio workouts and might try one of my regular workouts this weekend to see if my hand can take it. I think I'll probably be fine, but I don't want to push it.

I sent out a message to people that I am going to be on vacation starting next Friday. It's getting real. I'm sure I'll have a lot to get done before I go, but it will all be worth it. :)

Have a great Thursday!!

I appreciate all of my supporters yesterday!

I had a realization yesterday of why I am downgrade over a 1 lb. loss, and I have to journal this for my future self to look back on. I realized that when I have a loss over a pound, I tend to think that I'm allowed to go off of my WOE or take a day (or more) off of exercise because I only expected to lose 1/2 to 1 lb., anything over I didn't expect so if I gain a bit back that's okay. No, it's not okay to decide to binge or not exercise in favor of something unhealthy because I had a loss, that is just backward thinking. I have a goal to get stronger, but I won't achieve that by thinking it's okay to slack when I lose. Taking a day off when you need it, or having a cheat meal or snack once in a while is fine, but to cause a gain because I didn't mean to lose 2 pounds, is silly. I really should look at that as motivation to keep going.

Next week may bring a gain, but it's not going to be because I slacked this week. I'm going to keep moving forward and doing the things that are healthy. If I weren't happy with what I was doing I'd probably quit and have to start over again, but I'm enjoying what I'm eating, the physical and mental strength I'm gaining, and watching my body tone up. I control this journey, not the scale. My way of thinking about my body is changing and I'm so happy with that.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

What?! How did I lose 2 lbs. in the last week? I think part of it was not feeling the best over the weekend in the mornings, my stomach was just upset so I didn't eat a whole lot. I'm taking this loss and I'll be happy for it, I just won't be upset or surprised if I have a slight gain next week. I need to not downgrade my success, and just be happy with it, so I'm not going to dwell on the why did I go down, and take the loss and keep pushing forward.

The weekend was good. I bought some things for our trip so I feel more prepared. I got a walk in Saturday and did a gym workout on Sunday and I actually kept my eating under control, which was probably good since my stomach didn't feel the best. I'm liking my walks so I'm going to have to keep those going, it's just nice to get out and hear the sounds of kids laughing, the birds chirping, and get some sunshine after being cooped up in an office all day.

Well vacation is only 11 days away. I'm so ready! Have a great Monday everyone!!

I usually don't crave fruit, but the last couple of days I've wanted strawberries and blueberries. It's a good thing I had some in my fridge, so I've eating them as part of my breakfast the past two days and my dinner last night, with a little bit of cool whip. I guess it's good I'm craving the berries instead of chocolate or something else.

I got a run/walk in last night of about 2.5 miles and that felt good. I normally don't workout on Thursdays, but since I've been walking more, I figured it wouldn't hurt. Tonight I'm going to try a streaming workout again that is mostly lower body. I did check my weight this morning to see if I was staying on track and I was down a bit, so I'm still on track. As long as I'm not gaining, I'm happy.

Two weeks and I'll be on my way to the beach! Have a great Friday everyone!!
