Resisted the urge to get fast food this afternoon. Go me. It was hard, though, traffic on the roads and everywhere I want to go really stresses me out. I was run into by two different grocery carts today, by two different people looking in entirely opposite directions from where they were walking, when all I was trying to pick up were some emergency essentials. I broke down and got a spicy noodle bowl and a Monster instead, and heard a woman call me a bitch under her breath because I beat her to the self-checkout by half a dozen steps. Walk faster next time, hag.
I get to the parking lot and I'm driving along to leave and this old guy just pulls out into my lane like I'm not even there. I lay on my horn at him and he gives ME the stink eye, then honks at me and waves his arms around while he's stuck behind me at the light. At the death-trap 4-way stop just before home this guy takes an illegal, 100% not even attempting to yield left directly in front of me and nearly broadsides me. I lay on my horn at him as well, he slams on his breaks in front of me and flips me off. What the fuck is wrong with people? Why does shit like this ALWAYS happen to me as soon as I leave the house?
Already stressed out and not feeling good and frustrated from yesterday (my mother in law is a manipulative, passive aggressive, lying, victimizing jerk), I got home and stress-cried for a few minutes. Now I'm going to eat the Kit-Kat bars and the Reese's cups I got throughout the day and try not to feel guilty about it.

I've apparently come down with a stomach flu for the last 2-3 days. Today is the first day I've had real, solid food in a while and I can already feel it reacting badly. I've also got a killer headache which makes the nausea worse, which makes the stomach upset worse.
Merry Christmas to me, I guess.

I really don't like my routine being disrupted, it makes me eat badly. A friend of ours is taking us to Star Wars tonight (read: he needed a ride and bought us tickets to make it seem like a nice night out, so whatever), and since Husband doesn't get home until 6, this friend is coming over at 9 to hang out for a while, Husband won't eat if he's distracted, so if he's going to eat at all it has to be fast and easy. Hence the frozen burritos. I covered mine in hot sauce and they were tolerable.
I need to just get back on track, back on schedule, and stop letting things interrupt it and get in the way. I'm letting stupid things and excuses set me further and further back from my goal.
