I've been dealing with frequent (non-stop is more like it) migraines lately and I decided that it's finally time to do something about it. So I made an appointment to see a doctor on Friday. I don't have a primary care physician, so I chose one based on my experience at the hospital. The one I chose is very nice and usually comes to see his admitted patients immediately if something goes wrong (unusual among the doctors that come to my hospital). Hopefully he can prescribe something to lessen the migraines. I've had one off and on for the past four days and it's been awful.

Losing 0.7 kg a Week

Here I am, six months after finding this website, and I haven't lost a thing. I think I went down about five pounds and then gained it back. That was the basic pattern for the summer. It's been a stressful time. My 18 year old brother got married, but argued with the bride almost up until they said "I do." They seem very happy now, if that's any consolation... I left my husband and moved in with my mom for a week (with the two kids in tow). Then we reconciled and I moved home. I completely changed my major and my plan for the future. I was all set to start nursing school this fall, but then had a change of heart (Saturn return, maybe?) and changed my major to history. Now I'm seriously considering a joint degree program that results in a law degree and a master's in historic preservation. Yes, I'm a total nerd. LOL And yes, I know what a huge change that is. I'm happy with it and that's all that really matters to me. I'm not pursuing the law degree for the financial payout. I want to do preservation law or environmental law, and neither of those pay all that well! I just (today!) got a new job as an EMT. I've been waiting about two months for this job, and I am extremely excited. I definitely need to get myself in better shape though. Those stretchers aren't light, and lifting a 350 lb person on the stretcher is a daunting thought. (Skinny people don't seem to need an ambulance in my area...) So I'm starting fresh. I'm not following a commercial diet plan this time. I'm basically just focusing on eating healthy foods like veggies, fruits and lean meats, and getting more exercise. My schedule is already pretty full, but I *have* to make time for myself and get myself into a healthier state. I have about 45 lbs to lose and I'm ready to get started!
