Hello! Okay, so here's my story . . .

My name is Jessica, i'm from southern california, and i'm 21 years old. Two years ago, i weighed about 160 lbs. and then i met sebastian, my wonderful, adorable, funny, smart and eager to feed me boyfriend. the two of us make a great pair, and we love food. we love to learn about food, make food and especially eat food. so i put on some, what i like to call, love-weight, which is a mixture of weight put on from dates, gifts and becoming sexually active (and what it calls for, like birth control). Now i weigh 190 lbs. Luckily, i'm a tall girl and i can hold a lot of weight without looking or feeling uncomfortable - which is one of my big problems. I'm too comfortable and feel too complacent about my body. if i'm not careful, i'll confidently step right into obesity (and still feel fantastic).

this, i certainly do not want. yes, i believe i should feel confident and love myself for who i am and what i am. but i never want to be denial and then regret my behavior 10 years and 50 pounds later. i'm 21, dammit! i should be freakin' hot! (it also doesn't help my cause when my boyfriend tells me how much he loves my curves . . . luckily, though he's very supportive of my new endeavor)

and then a wonderful thing happened - my sister asked me to be the maid of honor for her upcoming, highly anticipated wedding in october. Of course i was very excited to hear the news, but a little weary of being in lots and lots of pictures. on top of that, we're heading to las vegas for the bachelorette party and i REALLY want to wear a skimpy bikini.

so i found the fat flush plan. i'm currently reading the book and will be heading to the grocery store soon to get what i need for tomorrow. for phase 1, i plan on following it completely, 100%. i have no problem with this because i love vegetables and fresh, simple meals (but i will struggle without olive oil and cheese). i read through the recipes and all of them look great. tonight, i will be getting something delicious from starbucks with a good friend of mine as a farewell to my favorite beverage to have with a good conversation. oh well, i guess i'll just have to get used to hot water and lemon juice.

wish me luck! and i'll send positive thoughts your way . . .

- jess
