so last night was a disappointment. i completely annihilated my diet come 9 pm. but it won't keep me from moving forward. it was a saturday, i had a craving. next chapter.

i started my day right today with a walk and some psyllium husks, lemon water and a smoothie. i'm having salmon for lunch and maybe barbecued shrimp kabobs for dinner. i like having hardboiled eggs and grapefruit for snacks. i feel like their hearty and tasty. but i put stevia on almost everything!

does anyone know if it's okay to put stevia in the lemon water?

anyway, god speed for me today.

ps: i weighed in at 184 this morning after i had my breakfast, which is strange, but they do say that body weight fluctuates from day to day. so i don't think i have anything to worry about. i'm sure i'll be 187 by the afternoon.

so yesterday was weird. this diet is doing something to me, and last night exemplified it. i had been feeling mope-ish the other days, but because it was a friday when we usually go out and do something, it was obvious that something wasn't right when i was passed out on sebastian's bed at 9 pm. i felt depressed. like that feeling where all you want to do is lay in bed. going out did not sound fun . . . not even a trip to peet's coffee and tea for a pot of loose mint with a round of sequence sounded doable to my will (and that's one of my favorite things to do with my jelly bean). i guess he kind of took to long to say "okay, i want to go here". it was just a bizarre feeling. i kind of wanted attention too, but that has nothing to do with the diet.

god i hate this cocktail. i don't even know what it DOES. what does it do? can anybody enlighten me?

anyway. my diet yesterday DID go very well. i followed everything. even took primrose oil (which is 8 capsules total throughout the day . . . that's hardcore). i'm starting to really get the hang of things and it's a huge relief.

anyway, hopefully i won't be such a nut tonight. we're going to a good friend's birthday party. my friends are big drinkers and i know i'm gonna want to wrap my lips around a margarita and have jessica and margarita special time, followed by some wobbly legs and an incessant giggle . . . but i think that might just throw me off the plan. just a tinge. that's okay, i'm a fun gal anyway. there will be dancing though, and it is a hard to dance fluently without a little juice. oh well, i guess i'll make a new personal goal: dance like there's no tomorrow while being totally sober.

so the picture is a picture of my beloved cat max, just so you were wondering. he's on a diet too. we motivate eachother, but he just won't get his ass up to exercise.

okay, so, has anybody been noting their stool? i know it's pretty gross, but in the book, the woman has like a half a page dedicated to noting your stool. two feet and floating, she says. my reaction: "two feet?! WTF?"

well i hope everyone has a great weekend. buh bye!

okay, so i thought olive oil and cheese would be my weaknesses. i was completely wrong. i find myself picking at our blueberry lemon coffee cake and a box of sweet tarts. i could swear my blood is made of sugar. who was i kidding? i'm the girl who'd take ice cream over dinner any day. however, i did dream about, get this, PIZZA! a dream exclusively made of pizza. i dont have enough fingers to count everything i could eat right now . . .

anyway, things are going well though. i know i'm not supposed to hop on the scale everyday, but i was curious because i've been feeling good. i've been walking in the mornings and drinking lots of cran water (though i think i should drink it more frequently) and have been eating very veggie-filled, bland meals. nothing like some dry chicken and a pot of mustard greens! yum! oh well, just two weeks.

though i DID have a good meal. i read my book a bit more and found out that i could eat canned tuna. i was relieved because i'm getting a little tired of cooking and cleaning. i like cold foods. so i had mustard greens with romaine salad, topped with the marinated artichoke salad in the recipes section topped with canned tuna. that, next to the asparagus and salmon meal, was the best so far. i've noted that that the cider turkey (which i subbed with chicken) didn't agree with my taste buds and neither did the spaghetti squash recipe.

now that i read more of the book, i think i'm starting to get the hang of it . . . to the point where i can create my own meals. which is a huge relief! this stuff gets expensive.

i've also decided to make my own cranberry juice to solve my budget problem. speaking of solving problems: i realized that it's much easier to have a smoothie for breakfast and a hard boiled egg for a snack, instead of scrambled eggs for breakfast and grapefruit for a snack. though i have become very fond of grapefruit. it's just such a hearty fruit. and it tastes great with stevia. which, i kind overuse (cranwater, lemon water and a little extra in the smoothie..i said i was made of sugar).

aaaanyway, i supposed i should drink my cocktail before i forget. i haven't drunken it night since i started the diet; better get on board with that!

okay, guys. have a great weekend. i know i'll be having a delightfully sober one (bah humbug :( )

Well i'm not done. i still have dinner to eat. I did pretty well today. i had to run to Henry's around 7:30 this morning to get the psyllium, flax oil and other things, so i started my day late. i had the cocktail, lemon water, eggs with veggies (which i have a question regarding), cranwater, half a grapefruit, more cranwater, poached salmon with steamed broccoli and asparagus, cranwater and the other half of the grapefruit. for dinner i'm having the turkey with mushrooms and spaghetti squash, but i'm substituting chicken for turkey because i'm not crazy about turkey.

i had a problem with the eggs this morning - how do you cook them without oil or cooking spray? i know flax oil cannot be cooked with, so i'm stumped. though my eggs came out great, the pan was full pretty messy and the cooking was awkward to do. and thats after adding about 3/4 tsp. of veggie oil. anyone have a suggestion?

also, i decided to dilute the cranwater more. pure cranberry juice is expensive, and if i follow the dilution ratio, i'll be drinking about $20 worth of cranberry juice a day.

i did have two of my mom's french fries from carl's junior. i hope that that's not that big of a deal.

anyway, i took my measurements today and i hope to see a bit of a change in the next two weeks. my goal is to fit comfortably in my jeans . . . because none of them fit.

overall today went well and i'm anticipating the future.

i also got back onto my skincare regimen that i started around march. i purchased all of the skincare products that were created by my dermatologist, and i they work great. i had a prescription of a pill and it ran out, so since then i kind of gave up on the skin things all together. but i started again about three days ago.the great thing about it is that i can see results in a matter of just 2 days. the redness and puffiness go away. the only complaint is that the regimen is kind of annoying and tedious. oh well. routines are good for a growing girl like me.

anyway. luck, wishes, prayers, positive thoughts, whatever you believe most in, go out to you!
