A little bit of a miss-step today. I told my husband that I really didn't want to go to zumba tonight. He interpreted that as I was NOT going to zumba tonight, and made this nice dinner that he served just as I was ready to walk out the door. The look on his face made me put my keys down and eat supper. I guess I'll go on Thursday evening. I rode my bike instead.
I had lunch out with my friend Liz today. I was a very good girl and stuck with a garden salad with chicken and unsweetened iced tea. Not very exciting, but I was there more for the conversation then the food anyway!
I'm doing well. I'm feeling good. Continue on and I will be a size 8 before I know it!

Even though the scale is wonky and I don't necessarily trust it, I weighed in this morning. and, I was down a little bit. I believe it, because my "fat jeans" are very lose and my regular jeans aren't too tight! Yea me!
I hope to get back to zumba tomorrow. I am trying for exercising at least 30 minutes a day. The Y is out until the end of February (way too crowded with New Year's resolution makers til then!) so most of the time it's my exercise bike and now that zumba is back Tues. and Thurs. at the fire hall. I should be doing pretty good with that.
What I do need to increase is my yoga and weights, especially for my arms. Working on working on it!

I decided to cheat a little today. I made a big thing of popcorn and put butter and truffle oil on it and it was goooooood!
Everyday this week, I have remembered to get on my bike for at least 30 minutes. I am proud of myself for that.
Driving past the fire hall today, I saw that zumba was back on Tues and Thurs. I may have to find my zumba shoes and head on over next week! The Y is going to be packed until the end of February and I think it's best to avoid the whole mess for awhile. By the time March rolls around, there will be room in an aqua aerobic class and my yoga class again. Until then, zumba, bike and DVD yoga.
I will weigh in next week. Feeling pretty good about things, no matter what the darn scale says!

This whole weight loss thing would be much easier if so many people didn't cook for us when we travel. It's hard to turn down when the went to so much trouble, especially when it smells and tastes.so good.

I am not eating all of my calories, but, I'm full, so????
The Low carb diet isn't hard, really. Except for the bread. I want to try that recipe for rolls made out of cauliflower. The cauliflower pizza crust is REALLY good, so maybe the rolls will be too!
This journey is about more than weight loss. It's about fitness and about self care. I am trying to remember to make sure I am dressing well and putting on my makeup and fixing my hair everyday. No more pony tails and sweat pants! Well, unless I'm going to yoga class! LOL
