Well, I took the idea of making sure I had enough salt far too seriously. I had way over any reasonable level yesterday. I had better watch it! I do love saltiness far more than sweetness--sugar is not my problem. So--I suppose, drink lots of water today and keep sodium okay without going too low? On one of my meds it says not to have salt substitutes, so my doctor may not want me to take supplements either if I cut back too far on salt. I'm still not achieving anywherew near a low of 20 net gr carbs, but keep learning about the keto diet. As soon as I can get near a grocery store I will get very serious about it. I learn something new every day through trial and error, that's for sure.

Well what d'ya know--I went to a restaurant for brunch because a grandson is in town, and I was able to stick to my diet! They had scrambled eggs with choice of toppings (peppers and bacon for me), and fresh berries for dessert! Knock me over with a feather! I had only two small pinches of bread dipped in oil/balsamic/herbs. Washed everything down with delicious coffee and cream. I was so full I couldn't even finish my eggs! (Pardon all the exclamation points!) !!!!!

I got my kitchen scale! Another eye opener. Why didn't I ever get one before? Now it won't matter if the recipes are in oz, grams, cups, or tsp. I've also decided not to worry too much about daily ups and downs right now, as long as the trend is down. Oh yes, I totally fell off the wagon yesterday. It wasn't worth it. I took a photo too, but I'm too shy to publish it. Sigh. I'll be glad later. Today I begin the keto diet more formally. Grocery shopping for the week today! Thank you all for the support and make it a yummy eating day!

I'm feeling better today, and don't have that over-full feeling I became used to for past years. My blood sugar is below 100 today, excellent. And my weight is down again. I am happy I started this!
