HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Today marks my 1 year FatSecret anniversary. 365 days later and 30lbs (at least) lighter, I am so happy about stumbling on to the Calorie Counter app, which led me here.
If you are just starting on your new lifestyle, stick with it! Lots of days and events will attempt to veer you from your path, and your ultimate goal. Try not to let others sway you from obtaining that healthier you.
Remember that there is no 'one size fits all' WOE. Tailor the food and exercise to fit you, keep you motivated, and keep you on the way to your goal. If you stall, re-evaluate and change something up.
I wish all my buddies the amount of success I have attained. It is hard work, it does involve some sacrifice, but it IS worth it.

Its one of those weeks where you wait for the 3rd....you know the saying, everything comes in 3s?
The dryer is broken...great!!!! Just as the finances were getting straightened out, I have that to pay for.
The I get pulled over by the local police. Apparently my registration expired...never got a renewal notice from DMV. So yesterday I had to take off work (something I can't really afford to do) so that I could get my registration renewed (not in the budget either this month!) and I get to pay a $70 ticket. Just shoot me now and end my misery!!!
Today I will not go to the gym. It is going to be the first day this week under 90 degrees. The dogs really need to walk.
I am going to weigh in today on the Wii. I feel real good this week, so I believe the weigh in will be at most 153...kinda hoping for something under 152.
I sincerely hope my Buddies are having a better week than me!

I like to mix things up when I cook. Yesterday I tried my egg whites with greek yogurt and chocolate whey powder. It smelled just like chocolate cake...it was NASTY! Won't try that again.
Ran 3.3 miles yesterday. Had to slow down a couple of times to drink water and wipe sweat. Gym was on the hot side last night. Today is even worse. At 4:45 it was 80 degrees outside. I am going home this afternoon and work out on the bowflex in my nice air-conditioned den instead of hitting the machines at the gym.
Least I got the gas fill-up out of the way this morning.

I weighed myself yesterday at the gym, 153.5
MUCH BETTER!
I will weigh again tonight and tomorrow.
Body Pump last night. The Tuesday night instructor is much younger than Thursdays. The class has way more participation and has a helper (I guess) that assists the class with correct form.
I upped my weights last night, maybe a bit too much. The bench pressing exercises proved a bit too much for me. Had to stop midway and take some of the weight off. Funny thing is, the weight for the legs isn't heavy enough yet. Guess getting that right takes practise.
Tonight is cardio day. I plan on running a 5k.
When I got home last night, my husband tells me about a job opportunity he is considering. He wants to be a paramedic in Iraq for 1 year. Not to discourage anyone from chasing a dream, one does have to be realistic. Anyone who reads my journal knows my husband is obese and has cancer (can anyone say BLINDERS!).
No company in their right mind is going to take him overseas. The issue with needing maintenance treatments every 3 months alone takes him out of the running. I suppose he will attempt to apply for it, I just hate to see him get his feelings hurt.
I can deal with the separation, we are army retired, that comes with the territory. I don't think he can deal with the extremes that this job is going to require. I told him that he won't be able to just come back if the job doesn't work out.
Extreme heat today in many states. Keep hydrated and stay cool buddies!
