I realize that this will be a lifelong struggle for me. Well, this now being the 3rd time in my 26 years that I've reached a healthy body weight, I am determined to make it stick. Apparently I know how to lose weight, what I don't know is how to maintain it. When I get to a point where I feel good about my size/body, I start working out a little less and allowing myself more indulgences, and justifying it simply with, "I've earned it." Well, that may be. Maybe I did earn a day off at the gym, or an extra cookie, and everyone in my life seems to think I can be a little less vigilant now, but if experience has taught me anything, its this: If I give myself an inch, I will take a mile. So now I'm changing my tune: AMELIA, YOU'RE NOT DONE. I've realized yet again that I really need to be tracking EVERYTHING in order to be SURE that I am actually burning more than I consume. So here I am, armed with a new website and phone app to keep me on the straight and narrow - and hopefully help me lose the last 10 lbs that won't budge. Maybe I will even make some new friends. :)
