ChallengeMember's Journal, 22 Mar 10

Hungry day.

**Wow...just after I typed those words I realized that I was just about to say how exhausted I am--went to bed late and was awoken by a little one way too early--and then I just flashed back to a week or two ago when I said that I noticed a link between exhaustion and food intake. Hmmm...I guess journaling works...it helps us make connections and learn things about ourselves so we can avoid our triggers.

Okay, so again, serious note to self: SLEEP! Way easier said than done but obviously, my health and goals are on the line.

I'm going to bed.

'Night!

Good for you - making the connection! My husband and I get up at 5:30 every morning but he can stay up until 11:00 at night no problem. Me on the other hand? I have to get a solid 7 hours or my whole day is thrown off. As much as I hate trying to sleep without him, one day I looked at him and said "I love you but I cannot wait for you to come to bed. I am not getting enough sleep and this has to stop." You know what? Now he goes to bed at 10 most nights! My point is, whatever you have to do to get enough sleep is worth it. When I was a kid, my mom went around the house one day while we were at school and set all the clocks an hour fast! We went to bed at 8 (never knowing the difference) and she got some much needed shut-eye! Good luck!!!
