So after being unable to lose weight over the last several months even though my eating habits (calorie and timing wise) hadn't really changed and my activity levels had increased, I went in to see my doctor. My blood pressure is higher than normal. I normally sit at 117-120/ 70-76. It is has been hover around 130-140/ 78-88. To help with the BP i am on a low dose medication now. To help with the stalling wight loss my doctor has recommended a non animal based protein diet, or in layman's terms, a vegan diet. Yesterday I stocked up on lentils, quinoa, tempeh, seitan, tofu and hummus. I was already well stocked with various beans. Now I just need to find recipes and start experimenting.
