Leigh Yeh's Journal, 14 Feb 17

Had a pretty rough day today, I spent the whole day studying for an exam, then didn't feel super confident about how I did on the exam. Plus, work was crazy and super not fun. After all of this, I just wanted to buy some Thai food and scarf it all down, but I'm trying to control the amount of stress eating I do. It doesn't help to make myself feel bad physically if I'm feeling bad mentally. So I'm not buying any junk food or overeating, I'm just going to have a glass of red wine, make a healthy dinner, and have a better day tomorrow! I hope everyone had a much better day than I did!

Good for you! These unhealthy cycles are the ones that get us there, and building new habits will get us out.

You can do it girl! I think setting goals is an awesome way to achieve results! You just saying "I am not going to buy junk food or overeat" is an accomplishment! Good luck!

Leigh Yeh, good for you to take notice of your stress eating! You might look for miracle noodles that are made out of konjac glucomannan (all fiber) that you can use in making your own Thai (or Italian) dishes with lots of flavor and spices. I order mine from konjac foods dot com because they offer a bigger variety of noodle shapes that I can't find here very often. I haven't tried their konjac and oat noodles yet, but they say they are more of a traditional noodle color (rather than white/clear of the plain konjac ones), so those are next on my list! And FYI, I find their website is a bit hard to navigate from my phone (maybe because I need to upgrade my phone!), but from the computer it is fine. Very informative. (And no, I am not affiliated with their site whatsoever... just a very happy customer!)
