This week has been really weird. Had to have a tooth extracted over the weekend, so that has made food a special challenge. Lots of soup, squishy things, etc. Am getting back to more regular foods now. Haven't been able to work out as much as I usually like to, since my face sort of starts to ache and pound when I get my heart rate up. I've taught my regular classes this week (two on Monday, two today), and ran an 8K on Saturday, but other than that, have kept it pretty low key. Not stressing over the scale this week, though- just trying to survive.

OH! I got third place in my age group at the 8K on Saturday, though! Super exciting! I've never placed at a race before, so I am really proud. Granted, it was a teeny local race, but still- so excited. I ran a little beyond the first mile with my 4 year old in the stroller, before he stopped at my friend's dad's house to play with her son while we finished the race. He was excited to be "running" a race with me, and again, it really makes me so happy to know that he is seeing me setting an example of a healthy, active, and FUN lifestyle!
