well I made it through the first day and didn't die or anything, but I did feel like I could have chewed my arm off just to have something to eat!!! I was so hungry, and I made good choices, and stayed within my points, I was just hungry all day!! I even went for a walk for an hour yesterday. I was only going to go for a half hour, but I got so far from home before I got tired, that I had to get back and I went further than I planned so I guess I forced myself into that last half hour because I had to get back home again!! Here's hoping that everyone has a wonderful day, one day at a time that is my new motto!! I only have to get through today, tomorrow is another day.

That's a great way to get in more exercise than you planned on!!! You are correct, we only have to get through 1 day at a time, it seems more do-able that way!

Don't forget you have 35 flex points and you can eat your activity points. You shouldn't be starving. If you get that hungry, have some fruit and string cheese or yogurt. Think high fiber, low points. You will also become accustomed to eating less as time goes on.

Good job making it through day one! Remember to drink lots of water, it should help with the food cravings. Thats a nice long walk! I made it 1 mile running, and had to walk back yesterday. I can usually run 3.. but I think I dressed a little too warmly. Better luck today, I suppose. Anyway, good work, keep it up!!

Woo hoo, day one is done. Congrats. But, I agree with Suzi on this one: you cannot be hungry! Eat fruits, veggies, small amount of nuts, etc. Find a balance. And water, keep fully hydrated. Good luck for day two.

Definitely agree with Deana. When you first switch to eating healthier, the first few days are rough. Your body is used to running on sugar and processed carbs. You can lean on fruit and maybe some nut butter to get you through those initial days, as Suzi said. Also, the more nutrient dense food you eat, the less you'll crave the junky stuff. This definitely works. More veggies, more nutrients = fewer cravings. After a couple days, you'll feel amazing. HOWEVER--you need to make sure you're eating enough food. Starving yourself might give you some initial results but you can't sustain yourself if you're not eating enough cals. Sounds like you're doing great so far. Keep it up and look forward to more energy.
