learned a lot doint this for so long. most valuable lesson continues to be the psychology around hunger.

i started this journey fighting hunger. it was good learning, but it was the wrong fight. the real fight was not against hunger, it was against EMOTIONS, BEHAVIOR and CHOICES with food.

I learned that what we put in our mouths is one of the things we can control 100%.

we are very afraid to just NOT eat. we mostly tend to turn to Not-eating (fasting) to get ourselves out of trouble.

I feel hunger throughout the day, but that does not mean a person needs food. it means my body is well, my metobolism is working and my digestion is functioning.

I am hungry, there for, I am happy.

I have a love/hate response with your posts… I love them because of the truth in them, I hate them because of the truth in them. Today’s post especially gave me pause. Thanks, I need to hear that.

I complimented Steve a few weeks back. He seem to take it the wrong way. But you're right crboyer a lot of people need to hear what he says. There's a lot of just over all fluff on here. It's great for us to be supportive here. But there are people that need the tough love. I guess it all depends on the person. If we continue to just cheer someone on who isn't progressing. Are we really helping them? There's a lot of dark and hard times when you commit to improving our health. It isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Or like I often tell my son. Life isn't a Disney movie the good guy doesn't always win. We need more truth tellers like Steve on here imo. I love the saying... to get results we've never had, we have to do things we've never zone. Which generally means doing the things we hate like we love them! Which was one of Mike Tyson's mentor sayings to him about what discipline was... I believe.

one day a coworker asked me "what do you normally eat? does it help you feel full/satiated?" and it struck me - No, nothing does. that's not REAL. That's only in fantasy or marketing/advertising. I learned that fight was misguided and the fight with hunger involved a level of accountability and motivation that can only come from within. I take my reflection and journaling very serously. thanks for not hollering at me. i wish you happiness, health and success.
