when i exercise, my mind has to go someplace so my body can work.

i find what drives me, is hearing people say we should love and accept ourselves.

how i interpret that, is that people cope and excuse themselves for choosing not to eat better or take care of them selves physically by accepting that reality.

i feel they are deflecting insecurity at those of us eating healthy, counting our calories and exercising regularly.

i am doing this because of how much i love myself and want to take care and nurture the many physical gifts we have been given.

if society wants to define that as "obsessive" or "eating disorder" or other negative connotations, i guess that's out of my control.

this is what i love and this is what gives me joy. but the culture out there around this is very toxic, for the most part.
