I’ve been doing poorly last few months. Keep thinking. I’m going to reset and never do. I think I’m going to spend the rest of the year trying to maintain and focus on getting in the right head space.

I've been there. Maybe try switching out one of your meals for a healthy one, do that consistently for a time, then add another meal? And build from there?

Yeah that not a bad idea. I think if I can shutdown my mind and sleep at night it would do wonders for me. The routine was really helping and just need to get back into it.

I find that if I'm sleep deprived, everything is difficult, food shopping cooking, working, etc. Over the last 6 months, my sleep has improved by about 50%, so I still struggle at times. One improvement at a time...you'll get there!!

Yeah that’s good advice. I’ll try that and see how it goes. Thanks.

I think that is a great idea especially with the Hollidays ahead of us all. Concentrate on just maintaining your current weight— that would be a big win in and of itself.

Don't give up, please. To back up Outerlimit, small changes are the most sustainable.💙 You really can do this. Commitments are hard, but believing you are worth it, help.

Don't give in, reset now. You'll hate starting over.

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. I’ve tried to restart the last few months but haven’t been successful. It’s why I was thinking of taking a break for logging but still being aware of how much I eat.

Sam try and log BEFORE you eat and see if that helps you. I do this frequently and it helps me a lot. Don’t give up. You will be the same weight or higher if you do that and time will go by where you could already have achieved your goal. Keep reaching out on here. Loads of support. Make smaller goals to hit. Like 5 pounds and then reset another 5 pounds. I lost over 90 pounds doing that. I had a goal of 80 pounds and did it in 5 pound increments. It took me about a year. There was a lot of frustration but now its behind me and I have to learn how to stay stabilized which is a whole lot more fun.

Thanks YOH. I was making small goals this last year and moving the needle. It stopped though which led to frustration. And now it’s going the wrong way. Hoping a reset will allow me to enjoy food again and not worry so much about the number on the scale. I’m still weighing myself to ensure that I don’t go up anymore. I’m actually starting to lose again but now it doesn’t seem as forced anymore. I do love the community here though super encouraging and great to have all the great support through my journey. Thanks everyone.

food prepping in advance has helped me. I know what I'm going to be eating for the next 3 days and don't eat junk out of frustration/ over-hunger.

Right there with ya! The suggestions are good ones!

Yeah I have to focus on stopping the junk especially at night. Sometimes I have a hard time falling asleep and I tend to turn to junk. It doesn’t help that the kid’s Halloween candy is just sitting there.

Sam someone on here recommended ashweganda which i had in the kitchen but never tried. I have something called dream dust by moon juice. I have struggled with insomnia since a child and am two weeks into this experiment and it is helping me fall asleep and go back to sleep when i wake to use bathroom. However, check with your dr as it is not for everyone. If on any type of medication it may be contraindicated.

Thanks YOH. I’ll look more into that.
