Debbie Cousins walks in her house. I will sometimes do that in late afternoon when I'm trying to reach a certain number of steps.

I’ve had good luck with walking in the house several periods of time, for several reasons. It’s great to have it as an option when necessary. Beats collapsing out in the elements.
