If you just started an exercise program, your muscles can retain water to help them heal. This can show on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or small loss. It goes away when you muscles get used to the new exercise. Google "why the scale lies" for some insight. Other factors include: hormones, too much sodium, medications, stress, etc. If you have been on plan then it is most likely temporary.

That's great to hear because I have been exercising and eating on plan and my weight fluctuates constantly. When it goes up I am baffled and when it goes down it doesn't stay down for long. The following week it may be up again, Drives me nuts but I continue to do the right things with eating and exercising. Eventually it has to work out.
