Nothing is worse than hitting the wall. The wall, as I see it, is the plateau that we hit while dieting. I had been doing great for about 26 days. I was losing weight and inches and feeling great about myself. Then, for no reason, I stopped losing the pounds. Inches were coming off but the pounds weren't at all.

I became nervous, wondering if I'd chosen the wrong diet plan, if God just wanted me to be overweight, if I subconsciously been sabotaging my diet, I really didn't know. However, I stuck to the plan. I monitored every crumb I ate and after six days I hopped on the scale and BOOM 2 pounds dropped. The next day 1, then 1 more, then 2, and so on. My body had finally gotten the news. I'm not starving to death...I'm fighting to live.

There is always a time when things don't go exactly the way you expect them to; especially when dieting. Don't give up! You'll be happy you didn't.

You chart looks great. It's perfectly normal for people to stay the same weight for a few days or even a week or so. A real plateau is when people get stuck at the same weight for weeks or months. Your body is probably adjusting to the huge amount of weight it's lost in a short times. So great job on the loss and great job of pushing though.

As you've discovered, being on a weight loss plan doesn't always deliver the results we want WHEN we want them. I am so glad you chose not to listen to those hateful voices whispering words of self-doubt into your head. You are doing great! Just keep the faith and your eyes on your goal of being the healthy guy you were meant to be.
