I've been on Atkins for one week and I've lost 7 lbs. This is awesome. I check my ketone strips to make sure I'm not spilling too much. At this time I'm morbidly obese with a few health issues. I am hypoglycemic with a mild heart condition. I have a torn MCL in my left knee with arthritis in both knees.

I have been battling weight loss for 12 years. Each time it starts out great and then it just fizzles out. My weight rebounds and usually increases more than the previous starting point.

Vegetables are not my thing. I cannot deal with either the taste, texture, or side effects. I am allergic to mustard. The acid in raw salads kills my stomach. So, I've been living a meat and potatoes lifestyle all my life. I love bread, cinnamon rolls, pizza, and the occasional donut.

I'm afraid that my life choices are going to kill me.
