rockseer's Journal, 02 Feb 11

Good Morning! Home from surgery since Sunday night; it all went well for the knee replacement. We are happily snowed in up here in Albany NY and hubby and I enjoying just being home together. I have lots to do for my recuperation including meds, injections, exercises, ice, heat, lol. It is all super though!!! I am grateful it went well and happy to be back.

Since the surgery, I have not really been thinking too much about food. Some things I just was not able to eat. So I ate when/what I could and when I was hungry. Today, I feel great and ready to get back to tracking food and eating to lose weight and be healthy. I cannot do any exercise since I am using a walker to get around with, but I can pay attention to the food.

I have decided to switch my diet from Atkins to eating sensibly and lower calories/cutting junk carbs/moderate food portions, etc. I am not sure how I am going to do this on FS and how it will impact everything since most of my buddies are Atkins, but I will take it as it comes and figure it all out. No matter what diet or path to good health we are on, the support and encouragement remain the same.

Well off to record my food and figure out my profile settings. Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. I feel the love and support!

ROBIN! I've MISSED you! So happy you are home and recovering nicely. Glad your body is adjusting nicely to your new hardware! No problem in making a change with your WOE - simply change the indicator to "Rockseer's Own Diet" or "Calorie Counting", whatever you want. And YES, the support and encouragement will most certainly remain the same. Love to you...

Welcome back Robin! Please take care of yourself. I just started physical therapy so I haven't been able to exercise any either. The exercises I do for physical therapy along with some crunches is all I've been able to do. Best wishes on your new WOE buddy!
