Sorry to hear about the surgery. But if it's to the point in which surgery is the only option, then I'm sure you will be relieved once it is taken care of and on your way to getting better. You will feel so much better in the end. You shouldn't have any diet restrictions since it's just on your knee. Make sure the hospital is aware of any preferences you might have. If not, maybe hubby can bring some food from the outside. Let us know. Will say some prayers for you. 

Are you sure you'll even have a hospital stay? DH had knee surgery this summer. Dr. suggested a knee replacement due to DH's blown MCL and his age, but DH pushed for a graft instead. It was outpatient surgery....in by 6, out by 4. 

Yes, I will go in on a Friday and be out Sunday or Monday. Just waiting on a date; its looking like a couple weeks from now. 

Oh honey, sorry to hear you have to have the surgery..But my sister had and she did well, she is 6' tall and thats pretty hard to get up and down when your that tall. But she did it..I'll be praying for ya...Bren 

Hope your surgery goes well, I'm sure it will, seems like yolu have a good attitude about lie in geeral, so you will do well. keep us posted. 

Update...I just got a call from the docs office and they had a cancellation this Friday! I am so thrilled to get in and get it done so I dont have to think about it. So Friday to at least Sunday or Monday I will be out of touch....probably longer. They say it is a long recovery and painful, but I am ok with all that. I got a wonderful hubby to help, and lots of friends praying. And for my business which is seasonal, it is a good time to be out of the office. I will miss seeing you all, but will look forward to coming back and there will LESS of you because of weight loss!!! Thanks for all your prayers!

Praying for you, your hubby and your Dr.'s... so glad you got something so quick. I agree, better to not have to dwell on it for weeks leading up to it! Get 'er Done!!! You will do awesome! And we'll be waiting to hear back from you that all is mending well. Love. 

So sorry to hear that! But, as a knee pain sufferer, I am sure the relief of pain (eventually) will be worth it. Not sure about the low carb thing in hospital, but you likely won't feel like eating much at all. Hospital food isn't the best and these days they don't keep you in long enough for it to make too much of an impact. Fingers crossed for you. So glad about the cancellation but its so scary too. Will be waiting for updates and wishing you a successful surgery and speedy recovery. (we can wait 12-18 MONTHS for surgery here!)
