Ok, so my challenge for myself tomorrow is to omit sugar from my coffee. (Can't do artificial sweetener. I simply don't like the taste and personally feel it can't be good for you!) I may eventually omit my creamer too, but I gotta do it in baby steps. I just was trying to find an area I could cut out some calories and realized I drink 200 calories with my coffee every morning. So tomorrow I'm going to omit sugar and use only one serving of creamer and take my coffee from a 200 calorie beverage to a 60 calorie beverage. Yeah, that's much better. :) Wish me luck!

I had the same problem with not liking the sweetener taste but I like my coffee super sweet. I now substitute most of the sugar with sweetener (I prefer Equal over S&L or Splenda) but add just a little sugar for taste. It comes out to 58 calories per 16 oz. mug full. :D
P.S. A couple weeks ago I tried switching to decaf in the interest of this whole health thing I'm doing...it was grody. Switched back & I'm much happier now. ;)

Thanks for adding me as a buddy :) This is one of the first steps I took as well. I have a giant iced coffee every morning. I used to put 4 sugars in it. Then I switched to two, then one, and for the last year, no sweetener and just a splash of cream. I hate artificial sweeteners. I love my unsweetened iced coffee. And I feel good about it. You can really change your taste preferences if you give it time. Once in awhile they'll give me a sweetened one by mistake and it is gross now that I'm not used to it.

Thanks! I'm getting used to it already. My creamer is sweetened/flavored, but I'm already using a lot less of that too, so I'll get there soon.
Thanks for being such an inspiration to myself and many people on this website! I just had to add you! :) And you just seem like a genuinely nice person. :) I'm really glad I found this page, now that I've finally decided to lose the baby weight; it's been a huge help!
Have a great week!
