ChallengeMember's Journal, 21 Apr 10

I wrote a long journal entry this morning and then when I hit submit, FS failed me and it got lost and I got taken to an error message. :/ I didn't have it in me to rewrite it...I had already gotten it out and that was the point.

Bottom line:

The planets are aligned in my world again.
Feeling in control.
Finally figuring out how much of this journey is mental.

Very good! Just FYI- if you copy before you post, you can paste it back in if you lose it. But I've noticed that if I hit the back button, my post is still there and I can just hit submit and wait. It usually works the second time. Or third :) You are right, by the way, it's almost all mental because it's really simple if your brain doesn't get in your way :) Realizing that is more than half the battle.

That is SO true! It's completely mental because of our warped way of looking at food. If we could just view food as nourishment instead of comfort, we'd have a much easier time! A long time ago someone told me that every time you quit smoking, you are that much closer to quitting for good. I believe it's the same with food. All of that yo-yo dieting should eventually lead you to this point...no more games, no more quick fixes; just learning to treat our bodies better. By the way, I had the same problem yesterday; I tried several times over a couple of hours with no luck.

It's all a mental game we play with ourselves. If I'm good then I can reward myself with...something usually not healthy and undoes all the good we've done. My mind sabatoges me on a daily basis, but I'm getting better and that is the point.
