HuMJah's Journal, 12 Apr 10

I've added Green Tea to my diet. Alton Brown, that marvelous food nerd, recommends drinking it daily, and lots of diets talk about drinking it as part of their diets, so I added it. Alas, I dislike the taste of green tea, and I don't do caffeine, so I found a decaf green tea, and I brew it with some herbal mint tea and drink a tall glass of decaf green mint tea with one splenda to sweeten it a bit.

I still haven't heard back about my biopsy on my thyroid; I think I'll call after lunch and see what I can find out. I wouldn't normally be anxious, but hearing your doctor say "Yeah, I don't like that," during your biopsy isn't very reassuring.

Overall, though, I think I'm doing well. I continue to trend down, and I'm 9 pounds away from having lost 10% of the weight I was carrying when I saw the nutritionist. I've already lost 10% of the weight I was carrying when I had my hysterectomy! And while my blood work wasn't as good as I'd like it to be, it definitely showed the result of the work I'm doing, and THAT is awesome. :)
