I'm so irritated. I have been following my diet, to the damn T, working out twice a day and here I am... gaining weight... This is so damn frustrating. My brother says muscle weighs more than fat but SHIT I'm fucking 166.6lbs... I want to lose weight... not GAIN... I do measure myself on my weigh day... and there was a slim down there... which shows me something is working... but I'd rather be losing weight... seriously.
75.6 kg Lost so far: 13.2 kg.    Still to go: 14.3 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

About muscle I should say your brother is right ... Fat is doesn't weigh too much so if its reduced you probably won't see much difference when you go on scale but you might notice losing sizes or wear your jeans easier! Patience is all you need... And not to give up. You have my word, we have been there ! Good lucks and wish you reach ur goals👍

You need to pay attention to your body measurements and not the scale, sometimes you need to make a WOE adjustments to get moving again, I plateaued for a month, switched a few things up got things moving again

I feel your frustration! Keep measuring because then you know it is working. The weight will follow!

Hey. I understand your frustration... but weighing is not really an exact science and it varies from day to day and hour to hour. To get constant results I weigh myself every morning after I ve gone to the bathroom...without having had any water or food. And even then... my weight will be affected by what I had to eat last night , the quantity/quality of my Bowel Movements (sorry if its TMI but it is what it is) , water retention (from what I ve read here , its a common issue with ladies on their cycle) etc. Dont give up. You ll have days where you gain...and days where you ll lost what you gained and then some. Just make sure that the general trend is downhill than uphill.

Fat and muscle weigh the same, a pound is a pound is a pound, but muscle is more dense. Two people that are 130 lbs and 5'4" but one with 30% Body Fat and one with 22% will look completely different. The scale is bull. Make sure you're taking pictures, pay attention to your measurements as well as how your clothes are fitting. Try weighing yourself once a week, fluctuations of half a pound aren't uncommon and can be as simple as eating too much salt. If you're seeing the scale go up by several pounds in a week then there's something else going on, but don't stress yourself out over .4lbs. Trust that you're doing it right, and if after a couple weeks you don't see a shift, re-evaluate your routine. Maybe you're undereating, or overestimating your burn. Maybe you're over training. Don't get discouraged.

I agree. You need to keep Working and use measurements and photos more than the scale. When I started I had a goal weight of 125. I am sitting at 140 it am a smaller size than I was at 129. I too work out and have gained a lot of muscle. I have just adjusted my goal weight and love the way I look so accept I may never be 125. I really focus on one day at a time. Did I achieve my goal for today? Then I am happy and my goals done include the scale. Just a plan of Food and exercise.

even if you are gaining weight from muscle now, you will still end up losing weight in the end if you are following your diet. don't worry about it. i feel like it's also good to mention that after you work out, your muscles retain more water as they repair themselves so that might also be a factor.

I'm going through the same thing, only not even showing a reduction in inches.. My trainer gave me a pep talk on Tuesday because I was about in tears. I have to admit that after my workouts I do feel better, and looking at the weights and reps I can do now to where I was when I stared the numbers look good. So for now I will look at those numbers and not the ones that show no progress. Keep on trucking, we can do this!

MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE! I don't know how many times the scale has done this to me, but my MEASUREMENTS proved that I was, in fact, trimming down. The scale should never be something that brings you down or motivates you. If the scale is the only reason you are doing this, you may find it difficult to stay on track.

I wouldn't weigh yourself daily as you may get discouraged from the water weight you may lose initially and then when you re-hydrate you gain it back. Let me ask what is your diet like? I hope it is a higher ratio of Protein and less CHO & even less Fat. Also, what are you eating right after you workout??
