I am about ready to give up. I'm gaining little by little and plagued by by back pain---it's depressing to me that I can't exercise like I want to. And christmas is coming....what the heck am I going to do?????
87.9 kg Lost so far: 1.5 kg.    Still to go: 15.3 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

Hi There, You really have to follow the plan 100%. It works and it will work for you. Even if you cant excercise, stick with the points. When you feel better, add a little bit of excercise. Just a 10 minute walk to start with. Mindy

Well, if you quit, what will you gain from that? Maybe more weight! So you don't want that. If you are struggling through the holidays (which we all do at some point), maybe you should focus on getting through the holidays by just maintaining the weight you are currently at now. Have you tried swimming for your exercise? I don't know if that would be good but it doesn't (seem like it would)put pressure on your back like other exercises. Maybe if you just maintain, by the time the new year comes, your motivation will get better. This is a very hard time of year for many people. Be kind to yourself! The weight loss journey is not an easy one. But always remind yourself that you are worth it.

Thank you Mindy and Suzi....really, I'm feeling better. If I quit, I'll just gain and not get ahead at all! And swimming? I will call my doctor and make sure that's a good idea...I don't know why I didn't think about that...Ha!

hang in there friend! you really need support right now. take one day at a time, those days add up! I know it's easier said than done, but like Suzi says, what have you got to gain from quitting? I "ditto" that comment!! :)

no quitting allowed. The holidays are worst. My sisters WW leader told them to make a Christmas goal. Now that goal may be to only gain 2 lbs. Or it may be to lose a lb. Whatever you feel comfortable with. But you are going to have parties and temptations. Now after Christmas we all need to get back to it. I like the swimming idea. It is such good exercise.
