After eating out most of the weekend because my grandfather was in the hospital having heart bypass surgery I am up. But tomorrow is a new day and I am getting back on track tonight. Anyone know a good way to get all your fat in on a keto diet? I use butter and olive oil to cook my meat and veg, but I'm still falling short by alot.

I eat LCHF. Today I had coffee with 1 tsp coconut, some salami, chicken and cauli mash. My ratios were pretty spot on. No added fat needed.... Do you track your food? How far off are you?

I'm supposed to eat 128g of fat and a I can usually only get about 100g. Tonight I mixed 6 packets of mayo with brown mustard to get up to 96g.

avocados are a good way to get your fat up.

Everyone says that but I can't make myself eat avocado because the texture just gives me the heebies

Bulletproof coffee (or tea) is one good way, but remember that there are 2 sources of fat...the kind you ingest, and the stuff you have stored. The keto macro for fat is not a requirement, but a limit.

If it's just the texture of avocado and you like the flavor, have you tried mixing with a little salsa and using as dip?

There's nothing in guacamole that will have any real impact on your carb count.

Macadamia nuts is the method I use. I love them.

A good way to incorporate avocado without the heebies?! :) Let me know if you try it. I'm new at LCHF/Ketogenic, so any advice is appreciated. Creamy Avocado Ranch Dressing Makes 4 Servings Per Serving - Fat: 27g Protein: 1g Net Carbs: 3g Preparation: 10 min The Ketosis Cookbook Condiments & Dressings 1/2 cup ripe avocado 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup sour cream 2 tablespoons buttermilk 3 teaspoons distilled white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley 2 pinches dried dill weed 1/4 teaspoon onion powder 2 pinches garlic powder 1. Mash avocado in a bowl, then stir in mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and vinegar. Sprinkle with salt, parsley, dill, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended, chill until ready to serve. Great as a dressing or veggie dipping sauce. ©2016
