I've been trying very hard to stick to Atkins - and I think I like it! :) I'm only on day 4 so I'll give it another week and see how I'm doing and then if I'm losing at all like this first week - I'll be totally committed! :)

Good for you. I was a huge skeptic, and actually got talked into it. I am just over 3 weeks into it and so far it has been very easy. Actually after the first week all the carb cravings went away and I was definately a carb addict. Best wishes

That's a very good weight loss. Just understand that you will not be losing at this rate forever. Typically the first week or two you will lose rapidly (water weight). However, after that you will be losing fat! I hope the loss has helped to motivate you in making this a lifelong change.

Lickley - I am definitely dealing with some cravings still! I'm thinking of having some sugar free jell-o later as a treat for making it this far! :) The one thing I miss the most is my cereal - I used to eat cereal for breakfast and lunch a lot of days! But other than that - I am having fun cooking with all the fresh veggies and actually putting oil in the pan when I make my chicken tenders for my salad! My mom NEVER uses oil for anything - we could make a regular size bottle last probably a year unless we were baking! So I'm not used to it - but I just really am having fun cooking up new stuff! :) Like a dork - I also enjoy making cute designs in my husbands salad that I am now packing him for lunch! :) Nothin' like a smile when you open up your dinner - right? :) kmartin - I know it won't be this easy all the time... but honestly I'm super happy with just feeling better about the stuff I'm eating! Oddly enough - I have noticed my afternoons are not so hard to get through anymore now that I'm not eating 2 grilled cheese's and whatever else the kids were eating! I definitely do not feel near as tired throughout the day. So I am hoping it will be a lifelong change. I seem to have my hubby's support for now which helps a ton. Hope ya'll are havin' a great day too! :)
