The doctor's office scale is one lb less than my home scale. I'm trying to decide if I just go by my home scale or if I should subtract one lb from my results.

Keep using your scale. It's about consistency. You weigh yourself more often (for your weigh in days) at home, that way you won't have to keep adjusting it.
