I do not know, having eaten virtually nothing since Monday lunch time, how I have gained so much weight. The surgeons must have left half their instruments inside me!

Don't worry about that, Jocko. It's just water weight. Caused by inflammation in your body tissues, the drugs and fluids they give you, and hormone imbalance from the stress to your body. This would also account for the bloating you mentioned yesterday. I'm afraid you will just have to be patient and wait for your body to sort it all out. Hope you're feeling a little better this morning.

That is why you swell when you have an injury, the body needs fluids at the site of the trauma to heal, this shall pass, the body is an amazing machine and it is doing what it is supposed to do to support you and keep you alive, allow it to do it's job!! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Hi Jocko
Just had to send you my thoughts and best wishes for a speeding recovery. Don't worry toooo much about your weight for now- we want you back here feeling better again. Your body has done well and you need time to heal properly. Sorry you haven't heard from me recently, but due to hubby's health scares recently, I have not been concentrating on anything in particular. All looks positive now- hope its the same with you. Take care and I hope the sun is shining for you today
